Civil Unrest
Have the 1st Shots Been Fired in the Next American Civil War?

USA –  -(AmmoLand.com)- Is the new American Civil War here?

For the last couple of years, I have been saying that we have been in a “cold civil war,” but it seems like it is becoming a hot war. On my old podcast (Patriot News), I predicted the next Civil War would start with small scale skirmishes around the cities and then would spread out to the suburbs and finally to the rural areas.

These events are what we are seeing around the country today. The flashpoint was the death of George Floyd that started rioting in Minneapolis after months of being locked in our homes. Democrats were quick to try to capitalize on the end of the man for their own despicable needs. They hate Trump so much that they would rather see the country burn than see our President Trump succeed. It was the perfect storm.

I also predicted that the Black Lives Matter movement would be co-opted by Antifa to push their Marxist values on the mainstream. Make no mistake, Antifa is a violent terrorist group hell-bent on overthrowing the federal government. They are opportunist that will use any cause to push their twisted agenda. They don’t care about black lives. They care about implementing communism in the country. They want to accomplish Stalin’s dream of the “Hammer and Sickle” flying over the White House. They hate our country and they hate our liberty and freedom. They want to control our thoughts and actions.

Democrats have embraced the far-left movement. Biden and Harris cover-up for the rioters and looters because that is a big part of their base of support. They blame “Boogaloo Bois” or rightwing groups such as Three Percenters and Oath Keepers for the crimes of the far left. Oregon Governor Kate Brown even had the gall to blame Patriot Prayer for one of their members being gunned by a violent Antifa member for just because he was a Trump supporter.

“We got a Trump supporter here,” a voice in the video can be heard saying in a video before shots rang out into the night.

Brown claimed that it was the Patriot Prayer’s fault for exercising their right to protest earlier in the day. Antifa terrorists celebrated in the streets as they left a man dying in the streets because of his hat. Brown did not mention that the far-left terror cell that has made Portland their caliphate. Maybe because she is on their side?

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler blamed DHS for the shooting. He continued to reject Trump’s offer to help get his out of control city back under control. Wheeler is another liberal politician that is afraid of calling out the radical left even though they occupied his apartment building. He fears the people that pull the strings of these common thugs.

Another Antifa member and child rapist, Joseph Rosenbaum, attacked a young 17-year-old kid named Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha, WI, for trying to put out a dumpster fire. The Antifa members were planning on pushing the blazing dumpster into a police barricade. The 17-year-old was armed and could fight back. The child molester tried to take his rifle. Fearing for his life, Rittenhouse defended himself, killing Rosenbaum.

The angry Antifa mob started to chase Rittenhouse. He could have easily defended himself with his AR-15, but he decided to try to retreat to protect the lives of his pursuers. He ran down the street to get away until he slipped and fell to the ground. That is when domestic abuser Gaige Grosskreutz pulled his gun, but Rittenhouse got the first shot off ripping Grosskreutz bicep off his arm. Later Grosskreutz said he regretted not killing the kid.

Another serial abuser, Anthony Huber, attacked Rittenhouse by trying to beat Rittenhouse with a skateboard. We have seen an unarmed man beat into a coma by a man with a skateboard only a few weeks ago. The attack forced Rittenhouse to defend himself once again. Huber took a bullet to heart, and it dropped him dead. Rittenhouse had other rioters that were chasing him in his sights, but they stopped and put their hands up. Rittenhouse didn’t pull the trigger and retreated.

The liberal Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley filed first-degree homicide charges against Rittenhouse even though it was very clearly self-defense. He insinuated that Rittenhouse was there to kill people. In a despicable move, Biden went on CNN and called Rittenhouse a white supremacist militia member. It didn’t matter that it wasn’t true. Biden had to double down since his running mate told people to stay out in the streets.

The stance is hurting Biden’s chances of winning the election against Trump in November. As it stands right now, Trump is closer to Biden in the polls than he was to Clinton. There is also Biden’s issue with the undercover Trump voter. A Trump voter is twice as likely to not tell the poll taker who they really are going to vote for in the fall.

If the debates happen, Biden will have to explain his rejection of law and order. I believe this is the real reason Democrats are asking him to sit out the debates, or it could because he has a hard time remembering where he is most of the time. Right now, Biden has been avoiding the press. Don Lemon even begged for the riots to stop because they are helping Trump.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but the Biden campaign must know their stance on the riots is hurting them with the American people. Why would they stay on a course that is driving them towards the cliff? The only reason I can think of is someone or some group with a lot of money is refusing to let them take a stand against the violent anarcho-communist rioters that are plaguing the American streets. Maybe someone with the same goal as the Antifa members themselves.

It is not only Biden’s choice to abandon law and order. It is not only their call to defund the police making our streets more dangerous. It is about the buses that police stopped coming to Kenosha from Portland. It is about the paid protestors that harassed Rand Paul in Washington. D.C. It is about pallets of bricks found at protest sites. It is about the bail money being paid out to get the protestors out of jail. Who is paying the bill for Antifa?

Then we have the cover-up on Social Media. Facebook, Twitter, and Google have taken a stand against one side. The platforms are blocking supportive posts for Rittenhouse while letting Antifa organize their violent protest out in the open on their platform. Twitter banned Cassandra Fairbanks for supporting Rittenhouse.

Facebook also personally banned me for calling out their allowance of foreign election interference by the French press. The Agence France-Presse (AFP) was marking Kamala Harris’s anti-gun past as false even though it was reported accurate. The social media giant even marked her amicus brief as fake even though it was submitted to SCOTUS in the Heller case. Facebook banned me for life, effectively trying to remove me from the public square and take away my voice, but I will not back down.

GoFundMe pulled down the support fund for Rittenhouse’s defense. The fundraising site still has up the campaign for Jacob Blake. The police shooting that set off the Kenosha riots involved Blake, who was wanted on a warrant of sexual assault, refusing police demands and then reaching for something in his car. The police had no other choice than to shoot the wanted man. The NFL is going to put Blake’s name on their helmets. Just imagine his alleged victim being forced to see her rapist be raised to saint level.

My final question is, “What will happen in November after the next election?”

For the first time in my life, I do not see how we can get through the next election without violence. I am not talking about broken windows and looted stores in the cities. I am talking about the tipping point of the next American Civil War. I fear the enemies are at the gates. The battles will spill over to the suburbs.

They are preparing, so we must prepare as well. We must stand up for our kids, our country, and our Liberty. Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction, and I will not let it die in this generation.

There is no middle ground in this war. It is time to choose sides. We might not want to fight, but the fight is coming no matter what we want.

Being in a ‘Safe’ District Brings Out Gun-Grabber Casten’s True Lack of Character

It's fair to wonder how much personal knowledge Rep. Casten has amassed in order to come up with his general theory on gun owner endowment.   (Sean Casten for Congress/Facebook)

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “Casten calls for ban on assault weapons, stronger gun control laws,” the Daily Herald noted Friday on the race for Illinois’ 6th Congressional District between incumbent Democrat Sean Casten and Republican challenger Jeanne Ives. “With violence on our streets a growing concern for many Americans, U.S. Rep. Sean Casten remains an advocate of stronger gun control laws.”

Who that “violence on the streets” is being committed by is left unexplored. That helps explain how targeting lawful gun owners and relying on constituent ignorance is a “successful” Democrat strategy. That passing such disarmament edicts will have no effect on those depraved enough to murder people is something they don’t talk about because the in-the-tank media won’t ask them.

“We have more guns per capita than any other country in the world,” Casten asserts, as if that’s the meaningful statistic.

“The hunters in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia alone would comprise the largest army in the world,” an Outside the Beltway article from 10 years ago showed us. Do you suppose we’d have heard about it if they decided to take to “the streets”? Or for that matter, why don’t we see headlines where the 5-million or so estimated members of the NRA, arguably the most heavily-armed civilian population on the planet, are adding to the urban body count? Just think how many opportunities for passionate confrontations arise every time they hold an annual meeting and 80,000-plus armed members show up representing diverse factions from Fudds to Three Percenters.

In addition to demanding “sentence first — verdict afterwards” edicts and registration-enabling “background check” prior restraints, Casten calls for a ban on “common defense” weapons while misrepresenting the core purpose of the Second Amendment and actually claiming what the Founders wanted was a “standing army,” something Elbridge Gerry, Fifth Vice President of the United States, called “the bane of liberty.”

Challenger Ives, we are told, “voted against several gun-control measures while a state representative, including a red flag law and proposals that: created a 72-hour waiting period for gun purchases; created licensing rules for gun dealers; and sought to create minimum age limits for people buying assault-style weapons [and] sponsored legislation allowing people to carry concealed firearms.”

The problem here is the 6th District, where Casten won his seat by a significant 53.6% to 46.4% margin. A significant reason why is something we’ve seen repeated time and again throughout the Republic:

“In 1995, the suburbs were the center of Illinois’ Republican universe, the bucolic backyards the home of the leaders of the state legislature as they strove to drive an agenda as a political force to be reckoned with for future generations. Now, nearly a quarter-century later, it is the Democrats who have advanced in collar counties that were once the Republican firewall to Chicago’s massive Democratic vote — a confluence of changing demographics…”

We just saw this play out in Virginia. It is the greatest threat to continued legal recognition of the right to keep and bear arms that gun owners face, and yet the one most ignored by national and state “gun rights” groups.

Naturally, Casten is the foreign nationals’ best friend.  Compare that to Ives’ positions.

Looking at the trends in his district and the predictions by the pundits, Casten is feeling unbeatable, and it shows in the haughty and crude way he disparaged gun owners in a Zoom conference call with college students:

“If you are a constitutionalist, unless you’re a member of well-regulated militia, tell me why you need to own a gun, right? Having small genitals is not a sufficient reason to own a gun.”

That insult, known as “Markley’s Law,” is hardly original, but then again, neither is tyranny enabled by citizen disarmament. And note Casten just revealed what he’s all about. He doesn’t think ordinary citizens have “sufficient reason to own a gun” — any gun — which shows the semi-auto ban and other edicts he demands are but incremental steps toward the real goal.

The ignorance, arrogance, and contempt coming from someone aspiring to more political power are telling.  There is still a way gun owners can show Casten how they feel about it, but that means they have to support and spread the word on Jeanne Ives for Congress.

NRA-ILA: Nothing to See, Says Bloomberg’s Newsletter

Fake News NRA-ILA
Nothing to see, everything is fine claims Biden's newsletter. IMG NRA-ILA

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)-Times are tough for the anti-gun crowd. Not financially tough, but tough in the sense that millions of Americans have chosen to acquire a firearm to defend themselves and their loved ones. The Trace is desperately claiming that the tangible increase in gun ownership will have no political significance.

The Bloomberg funded crew at The Trace tries to claim that the surge in new gun buyers is not a vindication of the NRA’s message.

That’s their first mistake.

It isn’t the NRA’s message; it’s the American people’s message. Nearly five million Americans became first-time gun owners so far in 2020. The record-high demand for firearms demonstrates, in the clearest possible manner, that Americans want and will choose to acquire firearms when their safety, and that of their loved ones, is – or may soon be – at stake. None of the pseudo-science, the opportunistic rhetoric, or the virtue-signaling of out-of-touch elites matters when you maybe your family’s only defense against harm.

The NRA is a member advocacy organization, standing firm against the anti-freedom organizations and actors who want to curtail the natural rights of Americans. The NRA is the messenger, making sure that policymakers and bureaucrats from sea to shining sea respect the rights affirmed by the United States Constitution. The various iterations of Michael Bloomberg’s gun control outfits all take their marching orders from a single person who wants total control of American life. We can see how The Trace would not understand the difference between a grassroots organization and the Bloomberg network of gun control organizations.

Their second mistake was using old survey data to make claims about 2020 which, if you’ve been under a rock since March, is unprecedented.

In 2019, Boston University professor Michael Siegel conducted an online survey using an opt-in panel to study gun owners. He was able to gather the opinions of anyone who had previously signed up to take online surveys for payment and indicated to the survey agency that they were a gun owner. If you can’t trust professional survey-takers to be honest about sensitive topics, who can you trust? The Trace reports that Siegel found “less than 3 percent of respondents reported having been involved in any political activity related to gun rights in the prior month or having donated to a gun-rights group. Less than 14 percent had visited a gun range during the same period.” That’s not quite what the survey found.

These claims are based on a series of questions that asked purported gun owners if they had engaged in an activity about every week or more, a few times per month, about once per month, a few times a year, or never. There was no category between “about once per month” or “a few times a year,” meaning the latter could include an occurrence as often as every six weeks or as infrequently as twice a year. There’s a difference between “the last month” and the general frequency of involvement in an activity.

Siegel’s survey was run in 2019 when there was no pandemic, no overt social turmoil, and no Presidential election driving political engagement. The use of his findings to make claims about gun owners’ political activity in 2020 (or any election year) is baseless.

In a comment to The Trace, Siegel also misrepresents the NRA’s power by claiming that “One source of the NRA’s power is the myth that most gun owners will be out there with their AR-15s in response to any proposed gun control measure and that’s just not true.”

The source of the NRA’s power is our members, our supporters, and law-abiding American gun owners. Nearly every NRA member votes. We – NRA members– support candidates that support the Second Amendment. Gun owners respond to proposed gun control measures by participating fully in the democratic process: by petitioning their representatives and voting.

We’re not sure where The Trace came up with the notion that we or other gun groups projected the massive surge in new gun owners would lead to an immediate and massive political swing. Is buying a firearm for the first time going to change someone’s political affiliation or ideological leanings? Probably not.

What it may – and should do – is give new gun owners cause to think critically about the claims made by gun controllers and their allies, now that they are themselves part of the community routinely blamed for criminal activity perpetrated by other people. Such critical analysis may lead new gun owners to reconsider their vote or their support for certain candidates or elected officials.

The gun-owning community is excited to have nearly five million new gun owners among us. While we don’t expect every new gun owner to be part of a lockstep voting bloc, we do hope that new gun owners will share their experiences with their friends and family. That may lead to more gun owners or, at the very least, more people who see that law-abiding gun owners are not the problem.

That’s bad news for Michael Bloomberg’s gun control dreams. Even more so if new gun owners vote in their own pro-gun interests.

No wonder his organizations are getting so desperate.

Enduring Partnerships: Manufacturer Excise Taxes and Conservation ~VIDEO~

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Our industry well knows that excise taxes collected on firearms, ammunition, and archery products play an important role in conservation. The Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act, commonly called the Pittman-Robertson Act, has received more than $13 billion from firearm, ammunition, and archery equipment manufacturers since 1937. State wildlife agencies are the beneficiary of these funds, which, in many cases, make up more than half of these agencies’ annual budgets.

State fish and wildlife departments have done a tremendous job as stewards of our nation’s natural resources. Without the dedicated agency staff and their primary funding source, there is no doubt that wildlife would not be as plentiful as it is today. To help emphasize the important work these agencies do and how Pittman-Robertson funds help them, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service produced this Enduring Partnerships video, which features manufacturers’ role in conservation. We ask that you share it with your staff and with your customers. California AG Asks Ninth Circuit for En Banc Review of Magazine Decision

Stack Pile Ammunition Gun Magazines High Capacity Standard
Stack Pile Ammunition Gun Magazines High Capacity Standard

U.S.A.-(AmmoLand.com)- On 28 August 2020, Attorney General Becerra of California petitioned the Ninth Circuit to review the case of Duncan v. Becerra. The review would be of the three-judge panel which held the California ban on magazines that hold over 10 rounds of ammunition to be unconstitutional. From the Petition for En Banc:

1 INTRODUCTION AND RULE 35 STATEMENT

California respectfully petitions for rehearing en banc of the panel’s decision, which invalidates a state law restricting large-capacity magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition (LCMs). California voters adopted the current LCM law in response to a spate of mass shootings in this State and across the Nation, and in light of evidence establishing the severe toll inflicted by mass shootings involving LCMs. A divided panel of this Court, however, held that this law is among the policy choices that the Second Amendment takes “off the table.” District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570, 636 (2008).

Judge Roger T. Benitez issued his opinion on 29 March 2019. It is a beautifully written opinion, based on the philosophy that the Constitution means something, and should only be altered by amendment. Judge Benitez found the magazine ban to be unconstitutional.

The three-judge panel issued their opinion on 14 August 2020. The majority opinion is based on the same philosophy, upholding Judge Benitez' opinion. One judge dissented, based on the philosophy the Constitution should be interpreted to mean whatever judges deem appropriate for the times.

The petition for review of the case by an en banc panel of the Ninth Circuit does not mean the review will automatically be granted. The Ninth Circuit could vote not to review the case en banc.

Whether the Ninth decides to hear the case en banc or not, the process takes time. In a previous Second Amendment case, Peruta, the process for an en banc review took 18 months from the time Kamala Harris, then the California AG, petitioned for an en banc review. Here is a timeline of significant events for the Peruta case from AG Kamala Harris' petition for en banc review:

The process with Peruta took a bit over 18 months. In the Peruta case, it was another year before the Supreme Court refused to hear the case.

It is impossible to predict the timing of appeals cases. If we use Peruta as a yardstick, it could be two and a half years before the Supreme Court even decides whether to hear the case or not. A great deal can happen in two and a half years.

If President Trump is re-elected, he may have the opportunity to appoint another Supreme Court justice during that period.

If President Trump is not re-elected, either former Vice President Joe Biden may have such an opportunity, or plausibly, Senator Kamala Harris may have become president and appoint a justice to the Supreme Court.

It is possible but unlikely, the Ninth Circuit and the Supreme Court would expedite matters and push the case through in nine months.

I expect the stay on the ruling by Judge Benitez to continue through the process, until either the Supreme Court issues an opinion, or refuses to hear the case.

Do not expect quick action.

If the Ninth votes not to review the case en banc, everything will be sped up by as much as 18 months.

It is reasonable to expect the results of the en banc vote before the end of the year.

NRA-ILA: Hoggwash!

David Hogg NRA-ILA
Anti-gun activist David Hogg gets it all wrong with anti-gun tweet tirades. IMG NRA-ILA

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Anti-gun activist David Hogg is far from reluctant to share his thoughts.

Earlier this year, Hogg posted a tweet that read: “This is a tweet for [sic] the founders of the gun violence prevention movement started centuries ago by almost entirely black, brown and indigenous LGBTQ women and nonbinary people that never got on the news or in most history books. We may not know all your names but thank you.”

Erin Palette, the national coordinator for the Pink Pistols, the largest “pro-queer gun group” in the United States, described Hogg’s tweet as “completely careless in its inaccuracy, and therefore callous to the injustice done to those people whom he is claiming to champion.”

Referring to the “centuries” of gun control that Hogg alleges existed, Palette writes, “I have no idea how he arrived at this number, and I doubt anyone else does, either. If there is a history book that tells the story of how non-white queer women and transwomen started a gun-control movement in 1820, then I would very much like to read it.”

As Palette goes on to explain, Hogg’s statements completely invert the narrative of gun control in America, where the goal was to keep minorities and other “undesirables” from having access to firearms. “Hogg’s ridiculous claims not only ignore history, but discount how all gun control disproportionately affects queer people and people of color… Hogg isn’t just wrong, he’s …wrong on every scale, with pockets of small wrongness concealed within larger wrongness; wrong from any analytical viewpoint, with each piece self-similarly wrong.”

Ironically, in another tweet, 20-year-old Hogg lectures on the “need to teach [young people] how to critically think and fact check the information they see before they share it.”

On August 21, Hogg posted a Twitter poll asking: “Would you be interested in seeing a video post every day from now until election day with my thoughts on what’s going on?” Out of the almost 100,000 responses, the overwhelming majority (84%) were “No.” Hogg deleted the tweet and poll results early on August 22, but a screenshot of the original poll results appears in a Washington Examiner story.

Is it possible that even his followers have had enough of this elitist and smug pontificating?

Second Amendment Supporters Can Make A Major Montana Gain

Second Amendment Supporters Can Make A Major Montana Gain
Second Amendment Supporters Can Make A Major Montana Gain iStock-884194872

Montana – -(AmmoLand.com)- When we talk about opportunities to make gains in protecting our Second Amendment rights, Montana looms large. This is a state where the Second Amendment is respected, but all too often, those opposed to our rights – or at least, who don’t fully defend the Second Amendment in every aspect.

In 2018, Second Amendment supporters got a double whammy. Jon Tester was narrowly re-elected. Worse, Steve Bullock, who is challenging Senator Steven Daines, turned on law-abiding gun owners. There is a bright spot, though. With his challenge to Daines, Bullock is vacating the governor’s mansion, and this is a chance for Second Amendment supporters to make a gain.

As is the case with the governor’s race in North Carolina, there was a decent bench for Second Amendment supporters. In this case, it stems from the fact that Montana has one seat in the House of Representatives. As a result, every two years, those candidates running for that seat have a statewide race.

The current Representative, Greg Gianforte, was the 2016 nominee for governor, and he came within 20,000 votes of toppling Bullock that year. He later ran for the seat vacated by Ryan Zinke, who became Secretary of the Interior, in 2017 and won re-election in 2018. Gianforte’s been a solid supporter of our Second Amendment rights, and made it a featured part of his 2020 gubernatorial campaign.

Gianforte faces Montana’s current lieutenant governor, Mike Cooley. Cooley’s site does not discuss Second Amendment issues – which could be a way of him keeping options open to do what Bullock did in 2018. Whatever his positions on Second Amendment issues may be, his campaign site’s silence on our freedoms speaks volumes, and none of it is good.

The fact remains, Second Amendment supporters have been willing to gamble on people who don’t have a track record or who don’t talk about the issues law-abiding gun owners care about. See Maryland’s Larry Hogan for one example. But Montana is not Maryland, and in Montana, Second Amendment supporters should expect more in much friendlier territory.

In this situation, Second Amendment supporters should be working to have Gianforte win this gubernatorial bid. If for no other reason than to keep a strong bench to take on Tester again in 2024. Second Amendment supporters can check out Gianforte’s campaign site. They also should support the National Rifle Association’s Political Victory Fund. Montana deserves to have a governor who respects our right to keep and bear arms.

19-Year-Old Learns Gunfight Lesson from 74-Year-Old, the Hard Way

U.S.A.-(AmmoLand.com)- On Thursday morning, 30 July 2020, in Graves County Kentucky, at a rural residence in the early morning hours, well before sunrise, a young man attempted to force his way into the house. The armed invader was 19. The homeowner was 74. Here are the details from the Sheriff's Office. From Graves County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky:

A Graves County man was shot early this morning after reportedly kicking in a door on a residence and gaining entry.

The events began at approximately 3AM, when the homeowner of a residence called 911 to report that a man wearing a mask forced his way into his home while armed with a shotgun. The home is located on Ky Hwy 1710 just south of Ky Hwy 58 East. The homeowner met the suspect and the suspect reportedly fled from the area, after getting into a small sized vehicle.

Deputies responded to the area and were able to obtain some evidence left behind by the suspect.

Then, again, at approximately 4:45AM, the 74 year old resident and homeowner called 911 again, reporting that a man had kicked in his door again, armed with a shotgun. The caller advised that he had shot the intruder with a shotgun after he entered his home and that the intruder had fled on foot.

Minutes later as law enforcement was arriving in the area, Mayfield Police (whom had responded to assist) had located 19 year old James Page II just down the road from the residence with a severe shotgun wound to his arm in or near the roadway. Sheriff’s deputies also recovered a shotgun that had been in the suspects possession.

Mayfield-Graves County EMS treated and transported James Page II whom was later airlifted to an out of state hospital. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.

The investigation has led investigators to obtaining arrest warrants for James Page II for 1st Degree Burglary and other related charges.

The homeowner is not facing any criminal charges.

The investigation is continuing.

Thank you,

Sheriff Jon Hayden

Forcing your way into a home in rural Kentucky in the early morning hours (before sunrise) shows a distinct lack of foresight. There may be other factors in play, but it appears the suspect, 19-Year-Old James Page III, was after some sort of illicit gain. He was charged with First Degree Burglary, among other things.

As stated in the message by Sheriff Hayden, this was not the first time the suspect had forced his way into the property. The first time was less than two hours earlier, at about 3:00 a.m. The suspect was reportedly armed with a shotgun, both times. The first time, the suspect was wearing a mask and had fled the home in a small vehicle.

From the comments at the Sheriff's Office Facebook page, it appears James Page was starting a significant criminal career. From the comments:

His assault case on me was just finished in february and he got off on 3 years parole. Didnt even make it a year like I told the courts he wouldn't

A shotgun blast to the arm is no small matter, even if it is “not life-threatening”. James Page III may face the future one-handed, but he is alive.

From the comments at the sheriff's site, it appears the homeowner is known in the area as a good shot. One person said the homeowner “never missed a squirrel”.

It is not uncommon for criminals to repeat crimes at the same location. Armed robbers commonly rob the same store. Burglars often hit the same home multiple times.

It is a bit unusual for a home invader to come back so quickly. Perhaps he was nearby, and waited for the deputies to leave.

It was a serious error.

It is to be hoped the injury will persuade young James Page III that invading homes, and crime in general, are  poor career choices.

Joe Biden Smears Apparent Self-Defender Kyle Rittenhouse

Biden NRA-ILA Third Time Not Charm
Biden shaking hands with constituents. IMG NRA-ILA

Springfield, VA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Gun Owners of America (GOA) Senior Vice President Erich Pratt released the following updated statement on Kyle Rittenhouse's apparent self-defense shooting:

“Kyle Rittenhouse appears to be a victim of mob violence — a man who was justified and empowered to utilize his Second Amendment-recognized right to defend his life.

“And, a statement by Kyle Rittenhouse’s attorneys suggests that Kyle had more of a right to be on that property than the convicted criminals against whom he defended himself.

“Yet while finally swearing off violent protests, Joe Biden chose to refer to Kyle as ‘the 17-year-old just arrested in Illinois for murdering two people in Wisconsin’ and as ‘reputed[ly] aligned with white supremacists and white nationalists and Neo-Nazis and the KKK.’

“But there is no evidence tying Kyle to any such degenerate ideology. Rather, the available facts seem to exonerate Rittenhouse from Joe Biden’s ‘vigilante racist’ narrative.

Further, the evidence seems to exclusively suggest that while Kyle was asked to serve his community alongside several adults, he was later forced to exercise his natural, God-given right of self-defense.

“GOA has observed overwhelming support for Rittenhouse from gun owners, yet few elected officials seem to be owning the self-defense narrative. Many have been waiting for more evidence to pass judgement on young Rittenhouse, but the public videos, interviews with Kyle from the night, and information from attorneys all seem to support Kyle.”

Barbarians At The Gates, Is Our Great Republic In Danger Of Falling ~ VIDEOS

The Sacking of Rome is starting to resemble what we're seeing in America's cities. JN Sylvestre 1847-1926 / Public domain.

USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- The Barbarians are at the gates, the cities are in flames, the war for the soul of America is in full swing. What I say here I do not say lightly. America is on the brink of falling, and if history is a guide and a repeating cycle, there will be very little to stop the demise of the greatest nation in the world, just like there was little at the end that could stop the fall of the Roman Empire once the decay and rot had set it.

What we are watching in our streets is nothing that happened overnight, it’s a product of years of social decay, corruption, indoctrination, and just flat out apathy. For as long as I have been active in politics, twenty-five years, which isn’t that long, I have seen the decline of this country, the spread of the corrupt cancer that’s been eating the heart and soul of America spread from the federal government to the states, to the smallest towns. It’s in our colleges, schools, our movies, television shows and in the very fabric of our everyday lives. Now add to that a virus that some would say is dubiously overblown and regulations that a year ago would have been laughed off as insane paranoia but are now seen as patriotism that must be enforced, and you have the perfect storm for the complete downfall of this republic.

George Who?

The fear and pent up resentment reached a flashpoint with the death of George Floyd, who barely gets any mention anymore. Which proves that he was simply used as the match to the fuse that is sparking riots not only all over in our cities, but also round the clock protests in even the smaller communities that don’t get much mention on the nightly news. Companies and sports venues quickly caved in out of fear of being protested next for simply not picking a side. Multimillionaire athletes are now en masse kneeling during the National Anthem before every game or, in the case of the WNBA, walking right off the court altogether. These things would have been unheard of a decade ago, now they’re seen as “taking a stand”.

Monuments are being ripped down, an act that many said would not stop with Confederate statues. It now includes anything that simply offends anyone else. Christopher Columbus, the Founding Fathers, memorials to fallen police officers, military, and veterans, are all targets. We all watched a historic church in Washington, DC nearly be burnt to the ground by anarchists who have been emboldened by liberal politicians who not only have ignored their actions, but in some instances have joined with the protesters against police, all while businesses are being vandalized, looted, and burned.

Today New York’s Attorney General Letitia James announced that she was suing the National Rifle Association with one goal, to dissolve it entirely. Now, I have had many bones to pick with the NRA over the years, and it appears that there has been a lot of mismanagement at the top for a long time, but one thing that everyone needs to see, with eyes wide open, is that if the liberals start with the NRA, they won’t stop there. You can bet they will look into finding a way to shut down every organization that they don’t like, or that stands up to them to defend your rights. The fact that an Attorney General from any state unveils a massive lawsuit against what for decades has been seen as the face of the Second Amendment in America with less than three months to go before perhaps one of the most pivotal elections in America’s history has got to be looked at for what it is, a political move to knock the NRA out of being able to lobby or fundraise for any candidates.

I hope I am wrong, but I feel that the violence we’re seeing is only going to get worse, egged on by the fact that there seem to be no consequences for those who loot and burn, while if you have a business and violate one of the many arbitrary rules that make no sense, you risk having your business shut down, being fined or even facing jail time. In some cities, if you get caught without a mask on, it’s a stiff fine, whereas we all see, night after night, a protest somewhere in this country where it seems that the rioters and looters have been given complete control of the streets.

Our country has been turned upside down, and hardworking, law-abiding citizens are on the bottom and are being trampled by the rioters and the regulations coming from blue states that worsen from day-to-day.

What Americans seem to have lost is hope, and I think that is intentional. The media on every channel beats the public down with talk of sickness, possible school closures, the economy, riots, violence, and politics. There never seems to be any good news, and all the while, everyone is told to stay home whenever possible while protesters are told that their actions are patriotic and, in some cases, necessary to get their point out. Good people are living in fear while the cities are in free fall. So of course, they feel helpless and are at the mercy of their elected officials. Speaking out is not only not good, but it’s going against the grain. Americans are told to not question what’s happening, just shut up, put on your mask, and do as your told.

Where this country goes from here is anyone’s guess, and I am not someone who is simply into the “buy guns and ammo” crowd. You don’t try to buy guns and ammo during a crisis, you should have had them before this all began. A crisis rarely takes a lot of time to spring up, giving you the chance to stock up. I think people should be looking to their own, thinking about where they live and putting away supplies of all kinds. I’m not saying go out and hoard toilet paper, but you can bet if things head south, what you saw at the grocery stores in March will only be an inkling of what they will look like.

America is going through a serious crisis right now, and it’s not just about the Covid virus. The real virus is what we’re seeing elected officials doing to their citizens while allowing criminals to go free or not be arrested at all.

The real virus is the fear that’s now rampaging through the country, making Americans afraid to even go outside for the fear they will catch something that is proving to be far less deadly than we were told. The real virus is the mobs of looters and rioters we’re seeing in our streets every single night, trashing buildings, cars, and destroying businesses while the media calls their actions peaceful. It is yet to be seen if the virus infecting America right now will be fatal to the republic or if we will be able to rally and fight it off. One thing is for sure, we’re running out of time to save the patient.

Anti-Gun ABQ City Council Members Triple Down Against Your 2A Rights!

New Mexico Take Action
Anti-gun Albuquerque council members are pushing against your 2A rights! IMG NRA-ILA

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Not satisfied with restrictive gun control measures already enacted by the New Mexico Legislature, like the ban on private firearms transfers and a red flag gun confiscation law, the Albuquerque City Council is poised to consider three additional gun control measures in September:

Resolution R-20-68 urges the New Mexico Legislature to strip the firearms preemption clause from Article II, Section 6 (the Right to Keep and Bear Arms provision) of the State Constitution, and put that revision to voters for approval.  Without preemption, cities like Albuquerque would be able to pass whatever firearms restrictions they want — gun bans, magazine limits, licensing and registration schemes, prohibitions on carrying firearms on your person or in your car.  Only five states — CT, HI, MA, NJ & NY, all bastions of gun control — have no preemption law or constitutional protection.  Preemption ensures uniformity in state gun laws wherever you live, work or travel so that law-abiding citizens don't unknowingly run afoul of confusing and conflicting local restrictions.  This resolution is expected to be considered at the Council's meeting on Wednesday, September 9, at 3:00 pm.

Ordinance O-19-82 mandates locked storage requirements for any firearms outside your immediate possession or control, with fines and/or jail time for violations.  Requiring all firearms out of arm's reach to be stored with a lock or in a locked container will render them useless in self-defense situations and most recreational or competitive shooting scenarios.  New Mexico already has a child abuse/endangerment statute that gives law enforcement and district attorneys the tools to charge and prosecute parents or guardians in appropriate cases when their child gains unauthorized access to a firearm and commits a crime or injures himself or another.  This ordinance is expected to be considered at the Council's meeting on Monday, September 21, at 3:00 pm.

Ordinance O-19-83 bans firearms at any building owned or leased by the city for conducting business with the public, including city hall, city libraries, city community centers, city parks, and recreation facilities.  This would negate your right to carry and protect yourself in these taxpayer-owned buildings and facilities and nullify your state-issued concealed handgun license in countless locations.  Criminals would ignore these newly-created gun-free zones that leave law-abiding citizens defenseless.  This measure is expected to be considered at the Council's meeting on Monday, September 21, at 3:00 pm.

Please contact each of the members of the Albuquerque City Council and let them know you OPPOSE R-20-68, O-19-82 & O-19-83.  Click the “Take Action” button to contact Councilmembers directly.

NRA-ILA: California AG Seeks Further Review of Ruling in Magazine Case

Mississippi Prohibits Restrictions on Open Carry in Jackson
Friday, the California Attorney General's office filed a petition for an en banc hearing in Duncan v. Becerra IMG NRA-ILA

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Friday, the California Attorney General's office filed a petition for an en banc hearing in Duncan v. Becerra—the NRA funded case challenging California's ban on the possession of magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds. The petition was expected after the 9th Circuit court of appeals affirmed that the ban violated the Second Amendment on August 14, 2020.  With this move, Attorney General Xavier Becerra is doing the bidding of the anti-gun lobby, who earlier this week demanded that California continue to defend the unconstitutional magazine prohibition.

“Predictably, California’s Attorney General wants to override our recent victory in the 9th Circuit, where the arbitrary ban against standard-capacity magazines was correctly declared unconstitutional. Notice the hypocrisy: Like ammunition for self-defense, AG Becerra wants as many judges as possible when it serves himself. The NRA will continue to defend law-abiding Californians and the 9th Circuit’s ruling in favor of your Second Amendment rights.” – Jason Ouimet, NRA-ILA Executive Director

The case centers on California Penal Code §32310, which prior to 2016, imposed restrictions on the manufacture, importation, sale, transfer, and receipt of magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds. In 2016, the law was amended to add an outright ban, prohibiting nearly everyone in the state from possessing such magazines. California residents who owned LCMs were given the option of removing the magazine from the state, selling it to a firearms dealer, permanently modifying the magazine so that it was incapable of holding over ten rounds or surrendering it to law enforcement for destruction. Failure to do so could result in imprisonment for up to a year.

Your NRA will continue to keep you updated as this case progresses.
