USA –-(Ammoland.com)- KDKA TV 2 (CBS) reports 05-01-19 in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania a local man was shot and killed while allegedly trying to force his way into a Franklin Avenue home around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Inspector Andrew Schurman of Allegheny County Police. said “From what we’re piecing together at this point, this is possibly some type of robbery or dispute in which the individual who perished was trying to force his way into the residence.”
According to police, a 17-year-old male juvenile resident knew the would-be intruder from “previous encounters” and knew the intruder possessed a firearm.
It appears the door may have been opened, the person was trying to force their way in. The 17-year-old, who police say feared for the safety of his family, fired one round from the handgun at the intruder.
The intruder was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. Adults and children were inside the house at the time.
The firearm belonged to one of the adults in the house. No charges have been filed as of this report.

Obviously, a prohibited person (too young to possess a firearm) can procure a gun in a life threating emergency to protect himself or others from great bodily harm or death.
Probably a good shoot even in California. It is common case law that a “prohibited’ person may grab a nearby firearm for defense in a sudden life-threatening situation.
The question of the shot in the head makes it sound like a murder. In the midst of a self-defense incident, it is all but impossible to accurately fire a handgun, especially for a novice shooter.
I am aware of many cases wherein that panic shot, especially in the hands of a person unfamiliar with firearms, struck his opponent in the brain. More likely a random hit as opposed to accurately aimed fire.

Watching that video helps to give us a must-needed attitude adjustment and perspective adjustment on Memorial Day. As Sgt Lambert said, all of the men who did not make it off of that beach never had a chance to live their lives, get married, have children, etc. And the same can be said for all of our war dead, in every battle, in every war, throughout the history of this nation. Young men who died in the flower of youth, who gave up their lives. Whatever we are going through, however “tough” we think we have it, is nothing compared to what they went through and what they gave up. Kinda makes your troubles seem petty, don't it? I sure hope so.
Memorial Day needs to be a day of remembrance, of honor.
And then a time to realize how damn good we really have it, how lucky we really are, to be alive, well, and living in what is still the most prosperous and free nation on earth. Too often, we lose perspective on how good we still have it, despite all the problems, all the in-fighting and bickering among what is really a spoiled nation, full of spoiled people (not just one, but multiple “me” generations). We have it damn good, even if we don't realize it.
Doesn't mean we don't have problems that need to be fixed. We have a boatload. But the headaches, heartaches, and work of fixing them is nothing compared to what was done in the past – what was endured in the past- by those who came before us.
Let's honor the fallen, and then re-commit ourselves to preserving the nation they served, and the Constitution they swore an oath to support and defend. Say a toast to them, and then make a promise to them to not let their sacrifice be in vain.
Let us remember our duty. First, take a look in the mirror and remind yourself that you too will die. None of us gets out of here alive. Our lives are short, and our days are numbered. What matters is that we leave this nation in better shape – as a free nation – for our children and grandchildren. That's all that really matters. Then remember the oath you swore -that same oath as the fallen – to support and defend the Constitution that established what is still the best form of government created by flawed men. Despite all of its flaws, it is still worth defending. It is worth fighting for. It is worth dying for, if that's what it takes.
And then commit to taking the words in that Constitution – all of it – seriously. Each word, each clause, was put there for a reason. Read it, start to finish, including all the amendments. How can you defend it if you don't know it?
When you get to the Second Amendment, take the time to reflect on its admonition and COMMAND that “a well regulated militia, being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” and take another look in the mirror and ask yourself why you aren't part of a real-deal, no bullshit militia unit in your town and county, made up of all of the able-bodied men of your community. Why are you not now formed into what the founders understood was NECESSARY for the security of a free state?
You do realize that owning guns as an individual is NOT the same thing as being that well regulated militia, right? And you do realize that it is not enough for you and a few buddies to be “preppers” and “have plans” for when the crap hits the fan, right? That's NOT the same thing. A true militia is made up of EVERY able-bodied man in the town, or in the county, period. All formed into an official town or county unit. Anything less will not get the job done when it comes to providing effective security for a free state as we have seen over and over again, even in just our disaster relief work – the “professional” government run law enforcement and disaster relief systems are ALWAYS overrun and overwhelmed. It takes the community at large to provide sufficient man-power to really get the job done. And that's just normal disaster relief. That's not even taking into account far worse scenarios, either man-made or natural.
Revitalization Of The Militia System
A true revitalization of the militia system in this nation, so that every able-bodied man (and perhaps also women too – or at least the ones who want to, in modern America) is trained and organized into an official local militia, must be our number one goal, our “North Star” in all we do. Nothing else comes close to being a game changer in the preservation of our liberty and our safety. And nothing less will preserve the nation that all our fallen served. As the Founders said, it is necessary to the security of a free state. We must rebuild it, and serve in it. We are fooling ourselves if we think we can do without it, without losing this nation. There's no such thing as a free lunch, and no such thing as a free, and secure America without a militia system that we all serve in.
Please don't try to make excuses for why it hasn't been done, up to now, in modern America. You do remember the effective range of an excuse, right? I thought so.
Let's find a way, and get after it, 'till it is done. At least done in your own town, in your own county, in your own state. Guess who is responsible for doing that? Take another look in the mirror.
The torch has been passed to you. Keep it lit, make it stronger, re-commit yourself to doing what must be done, and pass it on.

After a hurricane, the City and State opened up the Louisiana Superdome as a shelter to help those who were forced from their homes. What ensued was chaos! A small group of predators were in the shelter and perpetrated crimes against those who were down-and-out. Rapes, robberies, assaults…you name it! Those people DESERVED to be able to protect themselves! This can happen tomorrow in Texas!!!

Have you heard about the “Constitutional Carry for Disasters” bill? It was close to finally passing — but the Senate completely gutted it. And if we don’t get it fixed in the next day or two, we might be stuck with their version or stuck at an impasse.
I need you to call as many of the lawmakers as you can to help us make at least a very small step forward TODAY before the session ends in only 3 short days!
Please call as many members as you can on the Conference Committee on HB 1177. It only takes a few seconds per call. A staff member or intern will answer. Say something like this:
“Hi, I’m a member of Gun Owners of America and I’m calling about HB 1177, Constitutional Carry for Disasters. Could you please ask the [Representative / Senator] to only accept the strongest version of the bill in conference committee? We need to add back in what the Senate took away and pass at least the same version that the House passed. Thank you!”

Here’s the full story:
This spring, the Texas House decided that they could give us a tiny sliver of what is rightfully ours: they passed Constitutional Carry for Disasters, HB 1177.
This bill would allow people who legally own a handgun to carry it without a permit when evacuating from a declared disaster zone or returning afterward — for up to a week after the disaster.
The bill also allowed for carrying a handgun in a place that would normally be a “gun-free zone” if the place was being used as an emergency shelter and if the carrier had permission from the person running the shelter.
Well, the Texas Senate apparently thought that was too much freedom for Texas to handle. Chairman Huffman refused to hear the bill until it was completely gutted. The Senate’s proposed version would allow permitless carry only for those evacuating in a mandatory evacuation — and only for 48 hours after the disaster!
And the Senate removed any provision about carrying in a “gun-free” zone.
But we have a tiny window in which to try to fix the bill. Since the House and Senate passed different versions of the bill, members of each chamber are coming together in a Conference Committee to try to agree on a wording.
Please don’t delay! Call as many of the legislators as you can on the HB 1177 Conference Committee and ask them to agree to the strongest version of the bill!

On 7 May 2019 (Tuesday), two active murderers entered a charter school in a Denver suburb and started shooting with pistols stolen from the parents of one of them.
One dead. Eight wounded.
Both suspects were taken into custody, apparently uninjured.
In reporting the incident, CNN reporters piously wring their hands over the fact that a twelve-year-old student, Nate Holley, with the two active murderers standing outside a closet-door behind which he was hiding, had grabbed a baseball bat and vowed to “go down fighting”, when necessary.
CNN does not admire and celebrate the fierce courage and resolve displayed by Holley. They do not put Holley on a pedestal, as a young American lion, nor do they congratulate his steely resolve and amazing strength.
Not a chance!
Instead, they cynically bemoan Holley’s brave decision to arm himself in order to righteously fight for his own life. They denigrate and mock his audacious determination to be something more than a “good little victim.”
To “progressives” at CNN, personal courage is a “sickness.” They insist, when confronting evil, “resistance is futile,” and we should thus all aspire to the status of “helpless victim,” and never want to be anything more.
Nate Holley, and all others thoroughly infused with the dauntless American Spirit, epitomize these progressive leftists’ worst nightmare!

Cory Booker, a Democrat/socialist presidential aspirant, says when elected, he’ll implement his own anti-gun agenda, mostly (as Kamala also vows) by executive edict.
- 1) He wants to require anyone wanting to acquire a gun to first, in addition to passing a NICS (National Instant Criminal Background) check, to also acquire a “license” from the Federal Government. Such licenses can, of course, be arbitrarily withheld at the whim of politicians, absent due process, and with no explanation
So, in order to exercise our Constitutional rights as American citizens, specifically enumerated in our Constitution, we will first have to get “permission” from the Booker Administration.
I wonder what others among our Constitutional rights will now require a “license.” Will one now need a “license” in order to publish an editorial, or host a meeting in his home? Will his home now have to be “licensed” in order to keep its doors from being arbitrarily kicked-in during warrantless searches?
Booker seems to have our “rights” and “privileges” confused. Don’t they all?
Booker says he just wants to keep guns away from “people who shouldn’t have them.” But, he never specifies whom those people are.
Leftists never get specific.
I strongly suspect, when Booker, like Maduro, follows the customary socialist docket, “people who shouldn’t have guns” we’ll suddenly discover, are all his political opponents.
- 2) He wants to ban ill-defined “assault weapons,” but offers no specifics with regard to how that could be accomplished. Does he plan on kicking-in every door in the nation until he has seized them all? Short of that, how could his “ban” be implemented?
He offers no definition of the term, “assault weapon.” That, of course, will be quickly “adjusted” to include all firearms.
- 3) He wants mandated federal “handgun microstamping technology,” which has failed utterly in CA where it was first tried. This is a cynical way to effectively ban the manufacture of all guns that do not meet a deliberately impossible standard.
- 4) He wants gun manufacturers made liable to all crimes committed with guns. This is yet another convenient and cynical way to financially cripple gun-makers, driving them all out of business.
- 5) He wants to “investigate” the NRA, declaring it a “terrorist organization.”
Obviously, none who oppose him will be safe.
A vicious political war over our Second Amendment rights as Americans is obviously in full-swing, as evidenced by this chilling rhetoric so dramatically emanating from the mouths of Booker, and all of his fellow Democrat presidential aspirants.
The continuance of private gun ownership in the USA hangs in the balance!
Accordingly, there can be no compromising with these Constitutional criminals, these modern-day Marxists, who are consumed with seizing unlimited power for themselves, and eradicating freedom for the rest of us.
