On Tuesday, January 14th, Governor Tony Evers held a signing ceremony for Executive Order 254, which both established a state-level Office of Violence Prevention and authorized $10 million in funding for the office. Gov. Evers was joined by anti-gun advocates, legislators, and others during the ceremony.

He also announced that his 2025-27 Executive Budget “will provide his most robust and comprehensive gun safety reform efforts to date,” setting the stage for a renewed push for anti-gun legislation this session.
