16. Coverage in the media

1. King William, Southampton, and Powhatan counties are now Second Amendment Sanctuaries!

And the tsunami continues! We are now at FIFTEEN Sanctuaries! Supervisors keep saying these are the largest crowds they have ever seen. These meetings are a blast to attend!

King William: voted unanimously in front of an overflow crowd. The Board Chairman said he heard gun owners “loud and clear!”

Powhatan: vote was 3 to 2, but the 2 “no” votes seemed supportive in principle but wanted more time to meet with the Sheriff. Voting aye: Cabell, Melton, Nordvig. Voting nay: Williams, Tucker.

Southampton: extremely heavy turnout, cheers broke out as vote was unanimous to become a 2A Sanctuary!

2. MASSIVE turnouts in Bedford County and Pulaski County for introduction of resolution on Monday

Bedford: member Steve Wirt sent me this:

“Tonight's meeting was a general meeting, but, somehow people thought they were voting on The Resolution. There were about 1,000 People there! I gave out a whole roll of GSL Stickers [PVC: each roll holds 1,000 stickers] and ran out! The Board indicated that they WILL Pass the resolution on December 9th! They are choosing a BIGGER meeting place! I WILL be there as well!”

We should still pack the meeting on December 10th to underscore our resolve!

Pulaski: member Roy Songster posted this:

“Auditorium is full inside the Pulaski County meeting and was full at 6:00, an hour before the meeting started. At least 300 standing outside on the steps and walks and sidewalks. We aren't getting inside. We are just as important out here as they are in there.” [PVC: Amen to that!]

3. URGENT Action Item: Prince William County tonight (November 26) to be asked to introduce 2A Sanctuary resolution

We need a turnout tonight (Tuesday, November 26) to push for the 2A Sanctuary resolution vote to be held at the December 3 Board of Supervisors (BOS) meeting. Email the Board of Supervisors with the request, too.

7. Action Item: Chesterfield County needs its Board of Supervisors pounded to get the resolution moving! Next meeting is December 11

Chesterfield County residents, the Board of Supervisors needs to hear from you (and from you again if you already contacted them). They don't seem to understand why the resolution should be adopted.

Tell them that the resolution is just the first step in protecting the rights of Chesterfield County citizens. The resolution sends a strong message to the General Assembly not to pass any of the unconstitutional gun-control bills that the Democrat leadership is pushing. So far there are 15 counties who have signed the resolution in the last two weeks and many more are about to pass such resolutions. The Sheriff and Commonwealth Attorney will both be contacted to on that issue, as well.

Here are the current Second Amendment counties: Appomattox, Campbell, Carroll, Charlotte, Dickenson, Dinwiddie, Giles, King William, Lee, Nottoway, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Powhatan, Southampton, Sussex.

Let's turn out in force for their next Board of Supervisors meeting, too! I will speak and ask them to introduce the resolution and I will need the room filled and overflowing!

The next Board meeting is:

Date: December 11, 2019

10001 Iron Bridge Road
